With over twenty years of experience working in the health and fitness industry, our coaching team at GreenLight has witnessed first-hand the incredible impact training has on individuals' lives, both personally and professionally.
The TV & Film industry presents many obstacles to those hoping to prioritise their health. Employees face long working days, quick turnarounds, inconsistent shooting schedules, and tedious lull times during shooting.
We aim to help address these obstacles by providing an on-site training space and coaching service available to the Production Cast & Crew. We work with the Development and HR Teams to design a flexible training schedule that utilises employee downtime to get people moving.
'60% of Respondents said they were thinking of leaving the Film & TV Industry due to mental health concerns.' Through the Looking Glass, 2022
Our coaching team has worked internationally with diverse clientele, from Rugby and Cricket teams to National Power and Olympic Lifters to GB Rowers. The same methods that work for high-level athletes can be applied to everyday individuals wanting to get or keep themselves strong and healthy. We'll save the magic for the movies. All we ask for is commitment and a bit of hard work.
One of the biggest obstacles to training is walking through the door. That's why we're bringing the gym to set (ish). We offer equipment rentals, delivery and set-up at the studio or on location. Give us a corner of unused studio space or a marquee in the parking lot, and we'll transform it into a training facility for your production team.
We are an upfront cost to production budgets. The versatility of our service means its space and coaching staff can be used as and when needed. While we focus on getting as many crew members moving as possible, we're also here to train supporting artists for an upcoming beach scene, help cast members maintain their fitness regime, and keep the stunt crew fit and flexing.
Healthy employees are shown to be more productive. They are more resilient, take fewer sick days and are less likely to get injured at work. Alongside physical health, the mental health benefits of training have been proven time and again. It doesn't have to be drastic, just a bit of time each week to switch off and get the body moving. Invest now and see how the results start reshaping your team.
While we acknowledge that we're just a drop in the bucket to making the TV & Film Industry a balanced place to work long-term. That said Coaching is our expertise, and we know action creates results. Employees who recognise their company's investment in their health are more likely to have greater long-term job satisfaction.
The film and TV industry presents a unique challenge when it comes to building a strong culture, as many of its employees are freelance or contract workers. This inherent separation into departments leads to a lack of social cohesion. Group training has the added benefit of building community by breaking down social barriers and creating a safe environment where colleagues can celebrate each other's achievements.
